Steve Van Truong


With over 22 years of experience, Steve continues to lead the practice’s distinctive design direction.  He has a great interest in design detail, materiality, the evocative nature of form and the creation of contemporary architecture. His involvement in projects continues throughout the phases to ensure these qualities conceived in the early phases are executed in the built work. This experience is reinforced by establishing project briefs, cost estimate, creative design, practical detailing skills and his detailed construction knowledge. Representing Victoria, Steve has been part of the Victorian Government China and India Business Trade mission since 2013. Steve has been involved in managing Government projects for over a decade and understands the importance of stakeholder management.

Creina Cadden


Creina Cadden is founding director of Spaces Design with expertise in creating built environments that are inspiring and responsive to the brief, context, and environment. Exceptional verbal and visual communicator who ensures design clarity from project inception to completion.

With over 40 years’ experience in Design, Creina is interested in contributing more broadly to the Interior Design profession through lectures, teaching, mentoring and collaborative opportunities. Creina is a long-standing member of the Design Institute of Australia. She shares her experience as an official ‘Mentor’ to many young designers. Creina’s creative energy and understanding of client needs has enabled Spaces to establish a strong clientele.


Associate Interior Designer

Sanaz has worked with Spaces for over ten years and has made a significant contribution to the culture and aesthetic of the practice. She brings a wealth of knowledge about contemporary design, materials, as well as valuable documentation and administration experience to each project. Her approach is characterised by a meticulous attention to elegant detail and a focus on delivering high quality-built outcomes.



Project Architect

Aline is a graduate Architect who has worked with Spaces since 2018. She is efficient and meticulous and has experience in design and drafting of Residential, Commercial, and Educational projects. Her 3D render skill offers a presentable perspective to any project. Sensitive to environment, brief and budget, Aline works with all parties to ensure design integrity is maintained through all stages of project development and execution.



Interior Designer & Project Manager

Savina has worked with Spaces Design for more than three years. During this time, she has been responsible for the documentation and Project Management of several Residential & Educational projects. She is highly skilled at developing concepts and ideas and applying her practical knowledge to a project.

Organised, meticulously tidy and a great listener, Savina is a real people person who is always ready to lend a hand.


Project Architect

Daniel is an Architect who has a wide range of knowledge and experience in documenting, specifications and project coordination. Daniel has predominately worked on documenting and managing various education projects for the VSBA in the Emergency Maintenance Program and Accessible Buildings Program, consistently expanding his knowledge of construction and DDA compliance. He has also produced projects for the Inclusive Schools Program and the Inclusive Kindergartens Facilities Program, sharing his design skills and technical knowledge.


Architectural Project Manager & Architectural Draftsperson

Bryan has extensive knowledge in project coordination and technical drawing. He has broad knowledge of producing full town planning, detailed construction drawings and joinery drawings with strong visualisation skill. He has been involved in the documentation and manage of various Education projects. He has been able to forge strong working relationship with key personnel, ensuring they are up to date on all projects. In working on these projects, Bryan has also expanded his knowledge of DDA compliance. Bryan’s experience extends further to tender evaluations, in which a keen eye and attention to detail in required.



Business Manager

Catherine is an enthusiastic analyst with over 10 years of experience in financial services, with expertise particularly in the areas of analysing, problem solving and reporting with high attention to detail. Catherine has been involved in project coordination of staff on various project. Client invoicing and Consultant payment claims during the life of the project.
